Indicators project

Taking stock of the activities already undertaken at the international level, this project further develops the existing set of indicators to fully include health aspects and to cover the whole pan-European region. It supports the establishment of a pan-European reporting system building on the existing collaboration between WHO and the European Environment Agency (EEA). The project also provides a forum for monitoring the attainment of specific environment and health targets related to transport policies, and identifies a minimum set of data to be collected to improve the coverage of the EEA Transport and Environment Reporting Mechanism (TERM) established.

The project on the "Establishment of a Set of Indicators to Monitor the Integration of Environmental and Health Aspects into Transport Policies, and their Impacts on Health and the Environment" falls under the priority area of THE PEP Work Plan entitled: "Integration of Environmental and Health Aspects into Transport Policy". It covers the field "Environment and health targets, identification of indicators for monitoring of the implementation and of impacts, development of reporting mechanisms".
